Female employees of the corporation participate in a 5 km race

 Female workers and management bodies of Ethiopian Construction Works Corporation participated in the 21st round of women's priority five-kilometer running race, which was held under the theme of "Invest in women: accelerate progress ". On the occasion of International Women's Day (March 8), about 200 corporate employees and management bodies of the corporation participate in the race, which started and finished around Atlas Hotel.

Executive Bodies, Employees Confer on 6-month Performance Report

Executive bodies and employees of the Ethiopian Construction Works Corporation (ECC) confer on the six-month performance report of the nation.

While presenting the report at the hall of the corporation, DCEO of Legal Affairs Sector with the corporation, Assefa Kesito said on 15 March 2024 that the government of Ethiopia has been able to register remarkable achievements in various sectors during the first half of the current fiscal year.

According to the executive officer, the government has enabled the nation attain an economic growth of 7.9 per cent, which is the highest achievement compared to the nations of the Sub-Saharan Africa.

ECC Secures Over 5 Billion ETB in Revenue

Ethiopian Construction Works Corporation (ECC) secures over 5 billion ETB in revenue from the various construction and other related activities during first six months of the 2016 Ethiopian fiscal year.

While presenting the half-year performance of the corporation to employees of the Kality Branch Offices, Report Preparation Team Leader with the Corporation, Soressa Awoke said on 06 Feb. 2024 the corporation has already secured 5.003 billion ETB from the various construction activities and other revenue sources during the reported time. 

Accordingly, Soressa said, the corporation has obtained over 395.5 million ETB gross profits from the various construction endeavours and other income generating activities during the last six months of the current Ethiopian fiscal year.

Meanwhile, Executive Officer of the Construction Professionals Development Institute of the Corporation, Dr Argaw Asha presented a national document, Resource Creation and Administration, to workers of the corporation in a bid to initiate public discussion on the agenda.

Dr. Argaw reiterated that the incumbent government has been striving toward realizing economic growth and prosperity through undertaking various income-generating facilities and infrastructure, especially toward boosting catering and tourism in the country.

Accordingly, the members of the executive bodies and workers of the corporation diligently deliberated on various issues of the nation and forwarded recommendations as to how to bring about lasting peace and development across the nation.

Ministry Acknowledges Corporation’s Contribution for Development of Pastoralist Communities

Ministry of Irrigation and Lowlands appreciated Ethiopian Construction Works Corporation (ECC) for its remarkable contributions for the development of the pastoralist communities located in different parts of the nation.

At the closing ceremony of the East Africa Pastoralist Expo, Irrigation and Lowlands Minister, H.E Engineer Aisha Mohammed said on 01 February 2024 the corporation has been undertaking wide-range of development activities toward improving the livelihoods of the pastoralist communities.

Eng. Aisha said, CEO of Ethiopian Construction Works Corporation Engineer Yonas Ayalew have remained to be leading partner of the ministry in undertaking pastoralist-related development activities in different parts of the nation. The expo was organized by Ministry of Irrigation and Lowlands in collaboration with IGAD.

The corporation’s stand, that depicted the irrigation development activities of the corporation, was visited by the various federal and regional government officials, the mass media practitioners and other invited guests.

The East Africa Pastoralist Expo, which was opened at Millennium Hall of the Addis Ababa City on 26 Jan 2024, remains open until 01 Feb. 2024 under the theme ‘Pastoralism: the Mosaic of East Africa.

The East Africa Pastoralist Expo was held in connection with 19th pastoralist Day of the nation by Afar state, the ministry said, the 20th Pastoralist day is scheduled to be held after two years in Somali Regional State.
