City Deputy Mayor Inaugurates Mothers’, Children Hospital
Addis Ababa City Deputy Mayor, Honorable Adanech Abiebie inaugurated on Thursday a new state of the art Mothers’ and Children Hospital, which is constructed by the Ethiopian Construction Works Corporation at a cost of 410 million ETB in Lemi Kura Sub-city of the city.
The new hospital, which is named after the renowned Ethiopian philanthropist Honorable Abebech Gobena, comprises eight four-floored building blocks has 400 beds, examination rooms, a warehouse, emergency rooms, outpatient treatment rooms, and a cafeteria.
The deputy mayor said the new hospital, which is the first of its kind in Ethiopia in providing paper-free healthcare service deliveries, will have paramount importance in improving the access of mother and child care services in the metropolis.
The inaugural ceremony attracted senior officials of the city administration, heads of the various bureaus, prominent personalities, religious leaders and other invited guests.
