The Corporation has Signed Road Construction Projects worth 4.5 Billion Birr
The Ethiopian Construction Works Corporation the Addis Ababa City Roads Authority signed 4.5 billion birr project on 18th November 2020 accord to enable the former at asphalt and cobblestone levels.
According to the agreement, the Bole-Arabsa, Yeka-Tafo, Chefe, Jemo and Koye-Feche condominium roads will have a length of and a width of 118 km and 15 to 50 meters. 50 km of the roads will be constructed at asphalt concrete levels while the remaining 68.4 km will be constructed at cobblestone level. The roads will have a length of 11 to 38.9 km and expected to be finalized within 9 to 19 months.
More than 2,000 people will get Permanent and temporary jobs opportunities during the construction period. After signing the agreement, Chief Executive Officer of the Ethiopian Construction Works Corporation, Engineer Yonas Ayalew, said the corporation has a capacity of delivering quality projects to project owners.
The corporation has signed for the first time to construct a road project in Addis Ababa city, he said adding the corporation will complete the above mentioned projects within a short period of time through implementing up to date project management system.
Addis Ababa Roads Authority Director General, Engineer Moges Tibebu, on his part said the alley roads will be built in Addis Ababa's condominium areas, in order to satisfy infrastructure needs of people living condominiums and to facilitating traffic flow in the city.
Engineer Moges on his part believed that, by using its ample experience in the construction sector the corporation will be able to complete these road projects in time and at the required quality.
