  The Daguru-Dikhill road project commences

The 80 km Daguru-Dikhill road construction project, that connects Ethiopia with Djibouti officially launched at Djibouti, through the presence of the two countries higher officials and dignitaries on the 18th of February 2021.

At the launching ceremony, participant dignitaries from Ethiopia and Djibouti noted that the road construction project further strengthened the two sisterly countries long years of mutual development. It’s because, the road lies on the economic corridors of the two countries, all responsible bodies should exert their utmost efforts for the timely and quality accomplishment of the project, further said participant officials.

At a ceremony held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, ECWC and the Port Corridor Roads of Djibouti signed the accord for the rehabilitation of the road, which is severely damaged by long years of service for more than 2,000 vehicles per day.

H.E Mr. Kassahun Gonfe State Minister of Transport and H.E Awol Wogris State Minister of Transport of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and H.E Mr. Musa Mohammed Minister of Transport and Equipment of the Republic of Djibouti, and H.E Mr. Abubaker Oma Hadi President of Djibouti Road Corridor attended the launching ceremony.
