Strategic management performance review completes

The corporation's strategic management reviews Ethiopian Construction Works Corporation’s (ECC’s) 2016, which was held for two days at the corporation's project management center of excellence meeting hall.

The performance report was presented and evaluated and it shows that the corporation's financial performance was more than 100%. Figuratively; ECC’s plan was to collect 11 billion birr and performed accordingly.

During the performance appraisal meeting it was stated that the result was achieved not only because of the working units performed as expected, but also because the industrial zone of the corporation performed at its full potential.

The CEO of the corporation, Engineer Yonas Ayalew, said in his concluding remarks that the corporation has achieved better physical and financial performance than in previous years and thanked all the leaders and workers of the corporation for their efforts to achieve this success.

Corporation signs an agreement with Derba Cement Factory

Ethiopian Construction Works Corporation signed a cement supply agreement with Derba Cement Factory in the presence of Honorable Dr. Abraham Lai, Minister of Irrigation and Lowland Environment of EFDR.

The Corporation has entered into an agreement with the Ministry of Irrigation and Lowland Environment and has signed a cement supply agreement with Derba Cement Factory in order to enable continuous and uninterrupted supply of cement for the projects under construction.

On behalf of the corporation, Engineer Wegem Solomon, Executive Director of the Corporation's Project Management Center of Excellence, signed, and on behalf of Derba Cement Factory, Engineer Haile Asegdie, Executive Director of Derba Cement Factory, signed the agreement.

Ethio-Italian Business Forum launches

The Ethio-Italian Business Forum, organized by the FDRE Embassy in Rome in collaboration with Coffin Industrial Africa and Mediterranean and Bonlay Eredi Legal Consultancy, started in Milan, Italy.

Speaking at the opening of the forum, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Detta, Honorable Ambassador Misganu Arga, mentioned the centuries-old relationship between Ethiopia and Italy in the fields of politics, investment and trade, and emphasized the need to further strengthen and expand the relationship between the two countries in the economic field.

He added that such business forums have a great role to play in strengthening economic relations, and confirmed that the government is ready to provide the necessary support to companies that decide to invest in Ethiopia.

In his speech, Mr. Valentino Valentini, who is the Vice Minister of Italian Enterprises and Made in Italy, confirmed that the Italian government will provide the necessary support for Italian companies to invest in Ethiopia.

Italian investors have invited to invest in Ethiopia. For this, she called on the investors who invest in Ethiopia under the Mate Plan framework to take advantage of the support opportunity.

In addition, Mr. Lorenzo Ortana, a member of the Mattei Plan Task Force at the Office of the Prime Minister of Italy, Martina Madio, a representative of the CDP, a financial institution, and Michael Sponaro, a legal advisor at Bonellierdi in Rome, made a wide presentation regarding the support and favorable conditions provided by Italian investors for investment in Ethiopia.

Workers Confer on Corporation’s Performance, Strategic Plan

Employees of the Ethiopian Construction Works Corporation (ECC) confer on 21 June 2024 on the performance of the five-year strategic plan (2012-2016 E.C) of the corporation.

In the relevant meetings held on the premise of the headquarters and Kaliti office of the corporation, the workers deliberate on the registered achievements of the corporation as well as on the bottlenecks encountered during the last five years.

Moreover, the employees discuss on the new strategic plan (2017-202021 E.C) of the corporation and forwarded plausible recommendations as to how to successfully implement the new strategic plan.

Awareness-raining orientations were also provided to employees on strategic documents of the corporation at the two halls of the corporation.
